Gaylord Middle School Students Tour Albie's Foods
December 13, 2019 – Eleven Gaylord Middle School students toured Albie’s Foods for a Michigan Works! coordinated Talent Tour. Hands-on activities included a germ display with black light showing how to wash properly. Tour guides explained how important it is to keep visible bugs/germs out of food and talked about how fast contamination of food can happen. The tour also showed all of the different styles of products that Albie’s produces at their plant. The tour guide, Mike, also discussed with students what is degree is in and covered educational requirements to work at Albie’s. Students enjoyed the tour and were amazed at some of the freezers Albie’s uses.
