Avery Township Zoning Amendment
The Avery Township Board of Trustees will consider a zoning amendment at the meeting on April 7, 2026, at 6 pm at the Township Hall at 11010 McMurphy Rd, Atlanta. The amendment summary is as follows:
Amend Section 4.5 (Rec-1 District), Section 4.6 (R-2 District), Section 4.9 (Agricultural District), and Section 4.14 (Table of Permitted and Special Uses) to add two-family dwelling units as a permitted use. Amend Section 3.21 (Fences) to remove the requirement for a zoning permit for fences. The amending ordinance also provides for severability, savings clauses, and effective dates.
