Discover Northeast Michigan

A Talent Tour was held at MEC, Inc. for students of Vanderbilt Schools. Eleven students attended, stating they enjoyed the tour and would like to attend more Talent Tours. Feedback also included how much they liked seeing the robotic machines working, but they wished there were more hands-on activities during the tour. The students had many good questions about the plant and the production of the products. Educational requirements for the various positions were also discussed and information from Kirtland Community College was distributed (on CNC, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Welding and Fabrication). The employer also discussed how some of the jobs there require even further education.
