Michigan Works! Paves A Path to Full-Time Employment

Ryan Skowronek was referred to Michigan Works! Northeast Consortium from DHHS for the AEP/PATH program. He was unemployed, lacked significant work history, and needed assistance with his job search, as well as help with transportation.

Ryan actively participated in PATH activities, aggressively pursuing employment. Michigan Works! helped him out with mileage reimbursement during his job search to help him get started. He was very open to suggestions by Michigan Works! staff as they shared information with him on WIOA programs, offered job search assistance and tips on resume creation, helped him fill out online applications, and provided job referrals.

With the help of Michigan Works!, Ryan secured full-time employment as a carpenter’s apprentice. Ryan states, “I could not have found better employment. I love my job; my boss is great.”
