March 23, 2017 – Ten Atlanta students participated in a Talent Tour at the Industrial Arts Institute and Moran Iron Works in Onaway to learn more about careers in manufacturing and welding. The tour started with an overall introduction and short film about Moran Iron Works, followed by a tour of the plant. Students were able to see many of the pieces that were being worked on, as well as view a student who was in the middle of welding a project. In addition, the IAI tour guide introduced the students to the many different occupations that could be obtained by learning the trades. Student feedback was positive and all said they learned a lot and had a great time on the tours.
