Online Recreation Survey Conducted by Alcona County

The Northeast Michigan Council of Governments (NEMCOG) is assisting Alcona County with updating their Recreation Plans.

A Recreation Plan contains future plans for recreational facilities within Alcona County. Communities are required to have 5-Year DNR-approved Recreation Plans in order to qualify for grant funding from the Michigan DNR.

The planning process incorporates a community participation element that encourages input from citizens.  Alcona County has chosen to gather this public input in an online survey. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and is available here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AlconaRecreation

For those without internet access, copies of the survey will be available at the Alcona County Building or at the Harrisville, Mikado, Lincoln, Caledonia and Curtis libraries.

Alcona County officials are encouraging citizens in and around Alcona County to fill out and submit this survey because public input is a vital component of the future of the area and the public’s opinion is highly valued.
