Veteran Finds New Beginning
Veteran Michael Nau needed assistance with his job search and with creation of a new resume. Working with Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program representative, Doug Robinson, Cheboygan Talent Specialist Elaine Bostwick kept an eye out for any new vacancies that would be a good match to Michael’s skill set.
During his job hunt, Michael made frequent use out of the resource room. Through persistence in his job search, Michael learned that hard work does indeed pay off, but he stated that the moral support Michigan Works! offered was key in his success.
After a 6 month job search, Michael was finally able to find a job as a Lube Tech at Wheeler Motors.
He commented, “Keep the people you currently have there! They are so helpful and positive during the entire aspect of searching for employment. My only reason for stopping by today was to personally thank the entire Michigan Works! staff for all of their help.”
